2.3.0

Nexus Tweaks: free to download, with Free, Standard and Pro

New

  • New name: Nexus Tweaks. Same app, new name and a new home at nexustweaks.com.
  • Free to download. Sign in with a free Nexus account to monitor your PC, run the System Analyzer, browse every tweak, apply the General tweaks, clean up temporary files and undo anything in Restore Center.
  • Standard and Pro. One-time upgrades. Standard unlocks the Optimize packs and the everyday tweak pages; Pro unlocks everything, including Game Booster, Benchmark and the Crosshair overlay. Standard owners can upgrade to Pro for the difference.
  • Accounts instead of license keys. Nexus signs in with the email and password of your Nexus account and checks it when it starts. Your account works on one PC at a time; move it from Settings › Account or your account page.

Improved

  • Every tweak is listed on every plan. Ones your plan doesn't include are greyed out with what unlocks them, so you can read exactly what they do first.
  • Settings › Account › Check my plan picks up an upgrade without restarting.
  • Restore Center is never locked: any change can always be undone.

2.2.1

Black theme, sharp on every screen

New

  • Black theme. A true black background with neutral, very dark surfaces. The blue comes only from the accent colour.

Improved

  • Per-monitor scaling, sharp on 4K. The interface now scales from the larger of Windows display scaling and the monitor's resolution. The layout targets a 1440-pixel-tall screen, so a 4K monitor left at 100% scaling gets a 150% interface instead of a tiny one.
  • Fonts and icons are rendered at the final size, so text stays sharp at any scale.
  • Moving the window to another monitor, or changing resolution, rescales it.
  • Settings › Interface size (80 to 150%) adjusts on top of the automatic size.

2.2

Optimize packs and a new layout

New

  • Optimize packs. A new Optimize section applies the best tweaks for a goal in one click: Gaming performance, Network & latency, Privacy, Security hardening, Debloat, and Reliability & storage, or Optimize everything. Packs contain only the 61 hand-picked Recommended tweaks that apply to this PC, and every pack goes through the review screen.
  • A new layout. Sections across the top (Dashboard, Optimize, Tweaks, Gaming, System, Restore), the pages of each section as tabs underneath with live progress rings, and a status bar with privilege, active changes and live CPU, GPU, RAM and ping.
  • Details panel. Tweak pages show the list with a details panel beside it.

Improved

  • The Dashboard uses a two-column layout.

Fixed

  • Services are never in bulk actions. A tweak that changes a Windows service is never recommended or included in a pack. A unit test enforces it.

2.1

402 tweaks, purpose labels and only what applies

New

  • 402 tweaks across 11 pages, every one a documented Windows setting: Group Policy, documented registry values, powercfg, SystemParametersInfo, service start types, scheduled tasks and documented PowerShell cmdlets.
  • Purpose labels on every tweak: Performance, Privacy, Debloat, Preference, Security, Reliability or Storage. A privacy or cosmetic change is never presented as an FPS gain.
  • Only what applies. Tweaks are checked against Windows build, edition (Home, Pro, Enterprise or Education), installed apps (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Office, Visual Studio, .NET, PowerShell 7, OneDrive) and network adapter support. Anything else shows as not applicable.

Improved

  • Flat blue design. No gradients, glows or blur, and five flat accent colours.
  • 358 tweaks are applied, verified and restored automatically by the unit tests on every build.

2.0

Repairs, bufferbloat, crosshair and more

New

  • Fixes & Repairs. SFC, DISM, network resets, icon cache, Windows Update reset and more, each with live output, plus app installs through winget.
  • Bufferbloat test. Measures how much your ping rises while the connection is busy, graded A+ to F.
  • Crosshair overlay. Design your own crosshair and toggle it with a hotkey over any windowed or borderless game.
  • Mouse polling-rate tester on the Input page.
  • App Removal for preinstalled Store apps, each with a reinstall link.
  • Command palette. Press Ctrl+K anywhere to jump to any page, tweak, fix or pack.

1.0

First release

New

  • First release of Nexus Tweaks, built on the model every later version keeps: every change previewed, recorded with its original value, verified after writing, and reversible from Restore Center.
