“Windows protected your PC”

The app is not yet code-signed. Until a new app builds a reputation, Windows SmartScreen may show this message.

  1. First, verify the SHA-256 checksum of the file you downloaded.
  2. If it matches, select More info, then Run anyway.
  3. If it doesn't match, don't run it. Download it again from this page and tell us.

Antivirus warnings

Tools that change system settings sometimes trigger heuristic detections. If yours flags Nexus, check the checksum, then report the file as a false positive to your antivirus vendor (for Microsoft Defender, through the Microsoft Security Intelligence portal) and let us know.

Installing, first launch and uninstalling are covered in the docs.

2.3.0

Nexus Tweaks: free to download, with Free, Standard and Pro

New

  • New name: Nexus Tweaks. Same app, new name and a new home at nexustweaks.com.
  • Free to download. Sign in with a free Nexus account to monitor your PC, run the System Analyzer, browse every tweak, apply the General tweaks, clean up temporary files and undo anything in Restore Center.
  • Standard and Pro. One-time upgrades. Standard unlocks the Optimize packs and the everyday tweak pages; Pro unlocks everything, including Game Booster, Benchmark and the Crosshair overlay. Standard owners can upgrade to Pro for the difference.
  • Accounts instead of license keys. Nexus signs in with the email and password of your Nexus account and checks it when it starts. Your account works on one PC at a time; move it from Settings › Account or your account page.

Improved

  • Every tweak is listed on every plan. Ones your plan doesn't include are greyed out with what unlocks them, so you can read exactly what they do first.
  • Settings › Account › Check my plan picks up an upgrade without restarting.
  • Restore Center is never locked: any change can always be undone.
