Why it helps
Fixes stutter or input lag in some older DirectX 9/11 games.
Trade-offs
Usually worse on Windows 10/11: slower Alt+Tab and no Auto HDR/VRR in affected games. Prefer the per-game option.
Evidence
Limited evidence means: popular, but gains are rarely measurable. Expected impact is small (1 of 3): how much it can matter when this is actually the bottleneck on your PC, not a promised gain.
Gains from this tweak are rarely measurable on modern Windows, so it is never recommended or applied in bulk. If you try it, measure before and after with the Benchmark and keep it only if it helps.
Is it in a pack?
No. Packs only contain Safe tweaks, and this one is labelled Caution.
How to undo
Switch the tweak off in Nexus, or open Restore Center and restore this change (or choose Undo last change). Nexus writes back the original value it recorded before applying, not a generic default, then reads it back to confirm.
