Sets the minimum unparked cores to 100% while plugged in.

What it changes

Processor performance core parking min cores (plugged in): 100%

Before anything is written, the review screen shows this setting's current value on your PC next to the new one.

Why it helps

May reduce wake-up latency on some older CPUs. Windows 10/11 already unparks cores quickly under load.

Trade-offs

Higher idle power and temperatures. Often no measurable change - check with the Benchmark page.

Evidence

Limited evidenceExpected impact:Small

Limited evidence means: popular, but gains are rarely measurable. Expected impact is small (1 of 3): how much it can matter when this is actually the bottleneck on your PC, not a promised gain.

Gains from this tweak are rarely measurable on modern Windows, so it is never recommended or applied in bulk. If you try it, measure before and after with the Benchmark and keep it only if it helps.

Is it in a pack?

No. Packs only contain Safe tweaks, and this one is labelled Caution.

How to undo

Switch the tweak off in Nexus, or open Restore Center and restore this change (or choose Undo last change). Nexus writes back the original value it recorded before applying, not a generic default, then reads it back to confirm.

Where it applies

  • Desktop PCs only: marked not applicable on battery-powered PCs.

Anywhere else, Nexus shows it as not applicable instead of pretending it works.

Apply it safely with Nexus

Preview the exact change, apply it with its original value recorded, and undo it in one click if you change your mind.
