Dry-run mode
See exactly what would change without changing anything.
Dry-run mode walks through a change exactly as normal (checks, preview, every step) and reports what it would change. Nothing is written.
Two ways to use it
- For one review: tick Dry run at the bottom of the review screen, then apply. You get a summary of what would have changed.
- Always: switch on Settings › Behaviour › Dry-run mode. Every optimization then shows what would change without changing anything, until you switch it off again.
When it's useful
- Checking a pack on a new PC before applying it.
- Seeing which tweaks are already in place or don't apply here.
- Trying Nexus on a machine you don't want to change yet.
