Getting started
Uninstalling
Undo your changes first, then remove Nexus and, if you want, its data.
1. Undo the changes you want reverted
Open Restore and restore the changes you no longer want, or restore everything group by group. See Restore Center and undo.
2. Free this PC's place (optional)
If you won't use Nexus on this PC again, open Settings › Account and choose Sign out and free this PC, so you can sign in on another PC. If you've already uninstalled, remove the PC on your account page instead.
3. Uninstall
- Installer version: open Settings › Apps › Installed apps, find Nexus Tweaks and choose Uninstall. The uninstaller reminds you that it doesn't undo changes, and lets you cancel to go back to Restore Center first.
- Portable version: close Nexus and delete its folder.
4. Remove your data (optional)
At the end of uninstalling, you're asked whether to also delete your Nexus settings, logs and change history in %LOCALAPPDATA%\NexusOptimizer. Keep them if you might reinstall and want to restore changes later. For the portable version, delete that folder yourself if you want to.
Nexus has no background service and no startup entry, so there's nothing else to clean up.
